I got to know this wonderful woman and her family when I was in high school in Guyana. I went to school with her daughter, Merle. May Miss Avis rest in piece. She was a soft spoken, gentle woman who worked hard to provide for her family.

My grandmother lived her life by faith, and not fear. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Very kind soul and extremely strong believer in Christ. As much as she’ll be missed I’m happy that she’ll be reunited with my grandfather. Love you always. ❤️❤️
