I knew Rick in the 70's when we worked together. I remember him as a kind, loving, thoughtful, funny guy who cared about people. He is missed.

Dear Patty, Rachael and Zach, I was saddened to hear of Rick's illness and passing. When I first became a Baha'i in 1980 Rick was a major part of my deepening. I loved his depth of knowledge, dedication, his love for Baha-u-llah and his wonderful sense of humor. His love for others was so genuine and sincere. I believe I was on one of those teaching trips with Vito and Rick. They were a dynamic duo. We were always saying that we were on a mission, a mission from God. He is now on his ultimate mission and I will pray for the progression of his soul. I loved his spirit as I'm sure you all do. You will all be in my prayers. With love,

Dearest Pat, Rachel and Zach,
Cecelia and I have just watched the memorial service for our wonderful friend Rick. What a beautiful and thoughtful service. I'm afraid that 3 AM is a bit past our bedtime, even in Spain, but we felt that we were with you in spirit. I must confess to growing envious as my dear friend Rick Wolfsdorf spoke of his weekly meetings with Rick. I, too, know what it like to share those moments with the guy that my wife described as the , "Smartest man you have ever met." We also shared a sense of regret as we remembered all the friends, including the Zeff family, that we left in order to find our new lives here.
Please tell all our friend in Long Island that we miss them and that we carry their memory in our hearts.

One of the things I will remember most is my brother's smile. The smile he had when he took Patty as his bride, the smile he exhibitted when Rachel was born, the big smile of having a son, Zachary, then the smile and twinkle in his eyes when he walked Rachel down the aisle at her wedding then the father & daughter dance they shared. The other things I will remember are his infectious laugh and his compassion for others. He will be missed but with these memories I will keep him alive and in my heart. Patty, Rachel, Zachary you three have been given the greatest gift anyone could have been given, a husband & father that adored you three and was so proud of all of you. Ricky, you were the best brother anyone could have hoped for. We may not have always agreed on things, but we were always there for one another when needed. I will forever hold you in my heart and remember the good times...especially the night before Rachel's wedding when we all sat at the table playing Crimes Against Humanity and we laughed until the tears rolled down our legs and the dance we two shared at Rachel's wedding! You will always be my big brother. I love you.
