Katherine T. O'Connor, age 78, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer, at her home in Malverne, NY surrounded by her family and friends.
In addition to her loving husband Edward, she is survived by her children Edward O'Connor, Mary Heim and John O'Connor, and her grandchildren Gabriela, Edward and Aidan O'Connor, sister-in-law Patricia O'Connor and numerous nieces, nephews and friends - both human and animal.
After graduating from Adelphi University, Katherine went on to earn both her Masters and PhD in childhood education, serving the community for over 30 years as a teacher in the Malverne School District.
